If you are determined to be a candidate for treatment, you will be booked in for an appointment for treatment. Blu-U light is an effective, pain free treatment for moderate acne. The blue light activates endogenous photosensitizers which inhibit the formation of acne by destroying P. acnes, the bacteria that is responsible for acne lesions. Health Care consultations are for prescription renewal, health consultation and referral to specialists as required. The cost is $40 for 15mins. This is not covered by AHC, but may be covered by your private insurance and will be income tax deductible as a medical expense.
