WOLVES' DEN (1h)
Select this if you are participating in the Wolves' Den Research Project.

This appointment will take 1 hour and you can have the appointment by phone or video call.

Your first appointment will be with Taylor. First Taylor will go over the consent form with you. If you consent, Taylor will collect some demographic information from you including things like "what year(s) did you sustain a brain injury". You will also complete some verbal surveys about living with a TBI, and how that affects your daily functions, mood and more. You are welcome to skip any questions.

Lastly, Taylor will ask you some questions about your ideal type of brain injury support group.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL APPOINTMENT TIMES ARE LISTED IN PACIFIC COAST TIME. IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF BC PLEASE NOTE THE TIME DIFFERENCE.

History of Concussion - Intake (30m)
Please select this appointment to book an intake session for the History of Concussion Study.
This appointment should take about 30 minutes and includes going over the consent information and collecting background information about you.

We will collect information on your concussion history including the year it happened and how it happened.
Appointments cannot be cancelled same day through this system. If you need to cancel and reschedule please email brainlab@uvic.ca

If Taylor/Emma has been your main contact, please indicate this is a History of Concussion Study.

Appointments occur at the University of Victoria, Medical Sciences Building 105.

At least 1 day before your appointment, a team member will email you parking instructions and a map.

Appointment slots are 30 minutes, but your appointment will likely only take 15-20 minutes.

We will have snacks, fluids and a place to lay down if you do not feel well after the appointment.

This appointment should take about 60 minutes to complete.

Taylor will email you all of the details the day before the appointment.

In short, this appointment is located at West Coast Medical Imaging at uptown mall. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to ensure we have all of your paper work completed.

Community Baseline Concussion Testing at UVIC (1h 15m)
Please click here to book baseline or follow-up (post-injury) testing at the University of Victoria.

The research lab/testing room is located at the UVic Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health.

The UVic Institute on Aging and Lifelong Health is located at R Hut, off McKenzie Ave, Victoria, BC V8N 5M8.

Appointments take about 75 minutes.
